Columbia Wild Guides – 8-Day Luxury Canadian Rockies Tour

1. Deposit & Payment Schedule

  • A 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your place.

  • The remaining 70% balance is due 90 days prior to departure.

  • If booking within 90 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

  • Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.

The deposit is non-refundable due to advance commitments made for accommodations and tour services.

2. Minimum Group Requirement

This tour requires a minimum of 4 guests to operate.

Guests will be notified once the departure is confirmed. We strongly recommend that guests do not make non-refundable travel arrangements until confirmation has been received.

If Columbia Wild Guides cancels a departure due to minimum numbers not being met, all payments will be fully refunded.

3. Cancellation Policy

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

48-Hour Grace Period

Guests may cancel within 48 hours of booking for a refund of payments made, less any non-recoverable credit card processing or merchant fees, provided the booking was made more than 60 days prior to departure.

After 48 Hours

  • 90–61 days before departure:
    Payments made beyond the 30% deposit are refundable.
    The 30% deposit remains non-refundable.
    Refunds are issued less any non-recoverable credit card processing or merchant fees.

  • 60 days or fewer before departure:
    All payments are non-refundable.

4. Guest Substitutions

Guest substitutions may be permitted more than 60 days prior to departure, subject to accommodation approval and administrative processing. Substitutions within 60 days of departure cannot be accommodated.

5. Changes to Itinerary

Columbia Wild Guides reserves the right to modify routes, accommodations, or daily plans due to weather, wildfire conditions, trail closures, park restrictions, safety considerations, or other circumstances beyond our control. Any adjustments will prioritize guest safety and the overall experience.

6. Travel Insurance

Because deposits and payments are non-refundable within certain timeframes, comprehensive travel insurance including trip cancellation and interruption coverage is strongly recommended.

Columbia Wild Guides – Private Day Hikes

1. Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your private day hike.

Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.

All prices listed include applicable GST. No hidden booking fees are added at checkout.

2. Cancellation Policy

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

48-Hour Grace Period

Guests may cancel within 48 hours of booking for a refund of payments made, less any non-recoverable credit card processing or merchant fees, provided the hike date is more than 7 days away at the time of booking.

After 48 Hours

  • 7 or more days before departure:
    A full refund of the trip price will be issued, less any non-recoverable credit card processing or merchant fees.

  • Within 7 days of departure:
    No refund will be issued.

3. Changes & Weather

Columbia Wild Guides reserves the right to modify routes or locations due to weather, wildfire conditions, trail closures, park restrictions, or safety considerations. Safety and guest experience quality remain the top priority.

If Columbia Wild Guides must cancel a day hike due to unsafe conditions, guests will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
